Hernando Chapter of the Florida Native Plant Society

The Hernando Chapter provides educational programs and information to Hernando county's citizens interested in learning about native plants, their ecosystems, as well as all aspects of biological diversity. Our calendar features our activities, as well as those of our partners who provide programs consistent with our mission of preserving, conserving and restoring Florida's native plant communities.

Upcoming Programs, 2010

Monthly Meetings are held the first Monday of the month (unless it falls on a holiday) at the American Legion Hall (a new location for 2010) 208 E. Fort Dade Ave., Brooksville.; Meetings start at 6:30 p.m.  Our meetings are open to the public and you do not have to be a member to attend.

• September 13 - Joe DeAngellus, Wild Orchids, Joel is from SWFWMD


• October 4 -  Roselind Rowe, Holding the Line on Lygodium Roselind is Central Florida Native Plants  Coordinator for the Nature Conservancy.


• November 1 -  Dr. Reed Noss, Sea Levels and Global Warming, Professor at Central Florida University


• December 3 -  Holiday Party
